Returns/Exchanges

  • Please email customer service for more information on returning an item to sales@phantomgrip.com.
  • Returns will not be accepted after 14 days from the delivery date.
  • Custom applications are not returnable as they are specialty items.
  • If the order ships and leaves our facility, and you change your mind, you may still be liable for a restocking fee of 15-35%. We can not guarantee that the efforts to stop the package en route will be successful. You can choose to refuse the package and wait for it to return to us. At that point, is when you will be refunded the product only. If we are charged for the shipping back to us, this will be deducted as part of the restocking fee mentioned.
  • Please note that there will be a 35% restocking fee that will be deducted from your total for returned parts only. Shipping will not be refunded. All parts must be in resellable, unused, undamaged, or unmodified condition, and in original packaging and in new condition.
  • Return shipping is paid for by the buyer, and we suggest insuring your package and that it has a tracking number.
Please wait for a response from customer service to give you your #RMA, which will include the correct shipping warehouse address and help to expedite the handling of your return & refund.
Your refund of the price you paid for the product, minus the 35% restocking fee, will be applied through PayPal once the items have been inspected.

Returns Policy: Please email Customer Service for questions or assistance with returning an item. Keep in mind that one or more of the items listed below may not qualify for return.  

ALL SHIPMENTS REQUIRE THE BUYER’S SIGNATURE.  IF YOU SIGN FOR THE 2LB. 6x6x6 CUBE BOX, YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE PACKAGE,  AND UNDERSTANDING YOU ARE NOT PURCHASING A WHOLE DIFFERENTIAL OF 20 LBS, OR A TRANSMISSION THAT WEIGHS OVER 50 LBS.  DO NOT OPEN ANY OF THE PRODUCT PACKAGING UNTIL YOU ARE SURE YOU WANT TO INSTALL OUR PRODUCT. PHANTOM GRIP MANUFACTURES CUSTOM LIMITED SLIP CONVERSIONS DESIGNED FOR OEM OPEN DIFFERENTIALS. IT IS THE SKILL AND JUDGMENT OF THE BUYER AND INSTALLER TO INSTALL PHANTOM GRIP LSD CONVERSIONS, AFTERMARKET PERFORMANCE AUTO PARTS.

Product Inspection and Quality Control:

  • Phantom Grip LSD Conversions are custom products that may require additional gear prep, even with the correct kit. Some installations may not be plug-and-play. If you’re unsure, contact us for guidance before proceeding with the installation. There is a functional reason for “Gear Prep”- our coined term when describing a step to the installation process. This is not a term or process that should be used with look-alike products.
  • Each product is carefully hand-packaged. If you suspect you’ve received the wrong part, please email us immediately before proceeding with the installation. 
  • Customers should verify what their differential model is and specifications before placing an order to avoid downtime or incorrect parts being shipped.

Return Guidelines

  1. Non-Returnable Products:
    • Custom Phantom Grip LSD Conversions are not eligible for return or refund unless approved by our team.
    • International orders are final and non-returnable. Any duties, taxes, additional shipping carrier fees requested to the buyer, or exchange rates are not our responsibility and not refunded.
  2. Exceptions for Exchanges:
    • An RMA# may be issued if proof shows the incorrect differential purchased elsewhere was ordered due to the rare possibility of a factory differential swap, or if your differential is an LSD/VLSD, which is not known in advance, and the LSD Conversion purchased can not be exchanged or used with that differential.
    • Clear communication with our team ensures that an exchange can be processed efficiently.
  3. Conditions for Return:
    • Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery.
    • Products must remain sealed, unused, and in original condition. Opened or tampered items will not be accepted.
    • If approved, a 35% restocking fee will still apply for reasons such as buyer’s remorse, changed mind, or accidental orders if the product has shipped.
  4. Additional Terms:
    • Shipping costs are non-refundable and are the buyer’s responsibility.
    • Orders purchased with discount or affiliate codes are final and not eligible for return.
    • PayPal fees are non-refundable per PayPal’s policy update on 8/21/2023.
    • If you ship the product back and it’s lost or undelivered, you will need to contact the shipping service you used.  That will be between you and the courier.
  5. RMA Process:
    • Contact us to receive your RMA# and return instructions. No returns will be accepted without an RMA#.
    • If requested, you must provide clear photos of all sides of the unopened box, or, if the box has been opened, of the product you are returning. All returns are videoed for claims to compare to the photos emailed for the RMA#.
    • Any return with broken seals, opened packaging, or damage will be refused for refund.
    • All products must be new, unused, and in original packaging for returns to be processed.
    • If approved, a 35% restocking fee will still apply for reasons such as buyer’s remorse, a change of mind, or accidental orders once the product has shipped.  All orders ship with the buyer’s signature required. You are not forced to accept the package. By signing for the package, and showing I.D. at delivery from Traction Concepts understand what you are buying.

By completing a purchase and or requesting an RMA# with Traction Concepts, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

All Phantom Grip products, including our Limited Slip Differential (LSD) Conversion Kits, are custom aftermarket performance parts. Their installation and use require the purchaser’s expertise and judgment. For optimal performance, ensure you have the correct part and fitment, and have your LSD kit installed by a skilled technician experienced with transmission or differential components.

Please note that installing aftermarket parts may void your vehicle’s warranty.  Be sure to fully understand the installation process before proceeding.
