Each Phantom Grip Limited Slip (LSD) Conversion Kit includes a detailed, step‑by‑step pictorial installation guide covering the most common open differential configurations we encounter. These guides are designed to walk installers through the installation.

We strongly recommend that installation be performed by technicians experienced in transmission and differential assembly. Proper understanding of gear engagement, preload, sealing surfaces, and internal clearances is essential for optimal performance. While our LSD Conversion Kits include a comprehensive parts package, not every installation will be fully plug‑and‑play.

Due to OEM manufacturing variances, some applications may require resurfacing of the axle gears to achieve correct clearance tolerances. This can be performed using a lathe, mill, or even a precision bench grinder. If you do not have access to this equipment, we advise taking the differential and LSD kit to a qualified machine shop so the necessary adjustments can be made with the components in hand.

Our unique yet straightforward design is backed by extensive R&D, real‑world testing, and years of proven performance gains across street, track, and off‑road applications.

If your Phantom Grip LSD Conversion Kit did not include an installation guide, or if the guide you received does not appear to match your differential type, please contact us immediately. We can provide a supplemental or application‑specific guide to ensure you have the correct documentation before beginning the installation.
